Last weekend, I had the pleasure of having a visit by Academy-award-winning director of The Cove, Louie Psihoyos, to shoot an interview and some outdoor scenes for a new movie about extinction that he is working on. The movie will not be done for close to two years and is taking him far and wide. One of the coolest things was a remotely controlled heli-cam. One of the uncoolest things was that its battery pack slipped its harness, sending all of it into waist-deep seawater. Seeing such a good camera spending the rest of the day in a bucket of freshwater was painful. But—the photo card survived and the footage was saved!
